The English Language Division at the Continuous Education Center has organized two English language courses
To meet the requirements for English language teaching certification, the Continuous Education Center's English Language Division has launched a week-long qualifying course that started on Sunday, October 6, 2024. The course aims to develop the skills of postgraduate degree holders in modern teaching methods and to deliver lectures in English professionally to academics and students in order to enhance their English language proficiency in terms of comprehension and application, thereby facilitating the publication of their research in international journals.
Additionally, the center initiated a general English conversation course. The lectures for this course began on Sunday, October 6, 2024, and are scheduled to run for a week. The course aims to develop graduates' skills in job applications and interviews, in addition to developing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. It is noteworthy that these courses are held weekly and the lectures are delivered by the head of the English division at the center, Assistant Professor Mayada Rahim Eesa, along with a specialized team within the center. As part of the comprehensive 2024 national education strategy, these courses are incorporated into the training plan, particularly for the month of October.

The Continuous Education Center, in collaboration with the Computer Engineering Department, organized a workshop entitled "Cloud Innovation: AWS Solutions for Future”
The Continuing Education Center, in collaboration with the Computer Engineering Department at the University of Technology, organized a workshop entitled "Cloud Innovation: Solutions for the Future." The lecture was delivered by Ms. Hasnaa Hassan from the Computer Engineering Department and Ms. Zahraa Jawad from Ibn Sina University, who is also a member of the AWS Community Builders.
The primary objective of the workshop was to equip individuals, students, and businesses with the knowledge and skills necessary to leverage cloud computing to drive innovation, enhance operational performance, and reduce costs.
The workshop, titled "Cloud Innovation: AWS Solutions for the Future," focused on utilizing Amazon Web Services to develop innovative technologies powered by cloud computing. AWS offers a wide range of tools such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analytics, and data storage, enabling companies to innovate flexibly and reduce costs.





The Continuous Education Center\ University of Technology wraps up training programs for new employees at the Ministry of Oil
Pursuant to the directives of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Engineer Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, to train the employees who were appointed in the first phase and to follow up on the trainees from the second phase, and based on the principle of coordination and cooperation between institutions and government research and studies centers, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the follow-up of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, the University of Technology has concluded, through its Continuing Education Center, the training courses for the newly appointed employees of the Ministry of Oil, the sixteenth and final batch.
The closing ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Farhad Muhammad Usman, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Adnan Abduljabbar, Director of the Continuous Education Center, and Dr. Hisham Yas Shalan, General Director of Training and Development. They met with all Ministry of Oil trainees and emphasized the importance of the "Organizational Behavior and Institutional Loyalty" course. The General Director commended the University of Technology's Continuous Education Center for successfully hosting 1069 trainees for four months.

The Continuous Education Center is ongoing with its modules for the updated teaching methods course
The Continuous Education Center at the University of Technology has commenced delivering the third module, "Measurement and Feedback," of the Updated Learning Teaching Methods project. This project, which started on September 16, 2024, and will continue until December 8, 2024, involves 148 postgraduate degree holders (Ph.D. and Master's) distributed across the center's halls and university departments.
Assistant Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adnan Abdul Jabbar, the Director of the Continuous Education Center, announced that the University of Technology has launched six new academic programs in the fields of medicine, engineering, applied sciences, education, humanities, and administration. He highlighted that the course is open to staff from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (both government and private universities), the Ministry of Education, the Police College of the Ministry of Interior, and the Sunni and Shia endowments.
This course aims to equip participants with a range of presentation, public speaking, instructional design, and feedback provision skills. It also explores modern teaching strategies, educational ethics, quality, and research methodologies. It is worth noting that the center will be organizing another course in December 2024 with the participation of specialized trainers certified by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
