In collaboration with the UN Human Rights Office, the Continuous Education Center has organized a training workshop on climate change and its impact on human rights. The workshop aims to explore the concept of climate change, its consequences, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, constitutional and legal frameworks for environmental protection, and the impact of climate change on the health and economic sectors. The workshop was presented by trainers Ali Saleh Alawi and Ali Hassan Hamza from the United Nations Human Rights Office. The session concluded with an open discussion and Q&A session for participant.

Continuous Education Center at University of Technology has organized a training workshop titled "Building Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem: Its Relation to Women" in the Dijla Hall, Department of Electrical Engineering. The workshop aims to foster self-confidence and self-esteem, particularly among women, empowering participants to develop a positive self-image and overcome challenges that may hinder them.

The workshop was presented by Asst. Inst. Asmaa Muhanad Saad, a faculty member at the Continuous Education Center, University of Technology, and Asst. Inst. Noor Ihsan Ali, a lecturer at University of Baghdad. The workshop concluded with an open discussion and Q&A session for participant

Continuing Education Center (CEC) at University of Technology has started delivering the second unit (Instructional Design), as part of the Teaching Methods project towards blended learning according to the updated curriculum, which began on Thursday 5/12/2024 and will continue until 27/2/2025 with the participation of (148) trainees holding higher degrees (PhD and Master's), distributed across the center's halls and the University of Technology's departments.

 The director of Continuing Education Center, Dr. Ahmed Adnan Abdul Jabbar, stated that University of Technology has opened (6) scientific specializations in the fields: medical - engineering – applied sciences - educational - humanities - administrative, emphasizing that those accepted in the course are members of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research from governmental and private universities, the Ministry of Education, the Police College in the Ministry of Interior, and the Sunni and Shiite endowments.

The course aims to teach methods for blended learning according to the updated curriculum to acquire a set of presentation and delivery skills, as well as designing education and how to provide feedback and use modern teaching strategies, as well as addressing the ethics of the teaching profession and its quality, and finally scientific research methods. It is worth noting that the center will hold another course in March 2025 with the participation of specialized trainers accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The Continuing Education Center at University of Technology hosted a training course for newly appointed employees in the 19th batch, with the participation of 90 trainees from the municipalities of Baghdad Province. The course was held in accordance with the directives of Prime Minister Eng. Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani and under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It lasted for a full week, from November 24 to 27, 2024.

This course is considered one of the effective training programs as it provides a set of professional skills under the title "Organizational Behavior and Institutional Loyalty."

The President of  University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, followed up on the implementation of the course, emphasizing that "this course aims to promote optimal behavior among the trainees." He commended the efforts of the university and the staff of the Continuing Education Center for hosting the trainees throughout the week and providing all necessary resources to ensure the success of this distinguished program.

The training was conducted by a ministerial team consisting of Dr. Noor Ahmed Dhahi, Assistant Lecturer Roweida Hashem Jabr, Assistant Lecturer Ibtehal Nassif Jassim, and Assistant Lecturer Mariam Mohammed Hussein.
